A beautiful and well established arts weekend. Always welcoming and full of little unknown talents. Green Walk is in Whalley Range, Manchester. Access is from Wood Rd, off Upper Chorlton Rd or College Rd.

Choose from a selection of techniques to make a series of rings such as texturing, stamping, twisting, sawing etc. Learn to measure your ring size and then make up a ring to fit. You will leave at the end of the day with a unique silver ring and a good foundation of skills in jewellery making.

Learn how to make jewellery using epoxy resin. You will be taught how to mix, pour and cast resin using a range of molds and materials. You will be able to produce a range of items, for example: rings, earrings, pendants. This course is run over two seperate Saturdays giving the resin jewellery pieces time to cure before finishing them off.
Please note there will be an additional cost of approx £10 – depending on what you choose to make – to cover the cost of the resin, findings and any materials used.
What to bring to the class:
Although materials will be there for you to use on the day you may wish to bring along your own keepsakes, momentos or other items to use.

Design and make a simple pair of earrings or pendant
Learn to make a simple pair of earrings (or pendant) in a day. This day school is suitable for complete beginners. You’ll be shown a large array of basic, traditional jewellery making techniques: Annealing, sawing, filing, rolling, finishing, polishing and some basic forming.

This is a new venue were I’ll be offering smaller class numbers. There is a limit of 6 students per course. It allows for a more intimate, friendly atmosphere and a fantastic student/tutor ratio.

Simply Cheshire was established in 2015 by Suzie Dickens and Sally Jones who wanted to highlight the breadth and depth of talented and creative entrepreneurs that derived from Cheshire. The event was a huge success, welcoming over 2000 visitors and showcasing nearly 100 business. The event became a platform to showcase the amazing work of these artists, so often only seen at events outside the County. We know the people of Cheshire want to support local artisans and creators and by staging this event we provide the perfect platform for Cheshire’s creative talent to be appreciated by the widest possible audience.

Makers Fair at Saltaire Arts Trail 2017

Saltaire Arts Trail is a community arts event held annually on the late May Bank Holiday weekend. It offers an imaginative visual arts programme, celebrating the village’s rich heritage, and offering opportunities to both emerging and established artists.
The Arts Trail prides itself in reaching out to new audiences and making art accessible to all by using imaginative venues – the internationally recognised Salts Mill, public buildings, the homes of Saltaire residents and outdoor spaces around Saltaire, to display visual art outside of traditional settings, as well as delivering new exhibitions and commissions.
